Sandusky County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) is a nonprofit organization that focuses on business retention, business recruitment, green energy and developing technologies for Sandusky County. 70% of America's commerce occurs within a day's drive. Sandusky County is located in the center of the country's manufacturing core. We are the MidAmerican crossroads, the center of industrial and economic power of the nation. The SCEDC has been streamlining its economic and workforce development and has been recognized as one of the top 50 micropolitan regions in the country for business investment and expansion for the third year in a row. SCEDC has been working on bringing manufacturing back to Sandusky County and also closing the skills gap by creating and implementing the THINK Manufacturing Career Showcase. The THINK Manufacturing Career Showcase is a hands-on learning experience for local 9th grade students.
